OK, my clown is gone... The only fish in the tank.
It was a false perc about 3/4". Theres no way he jumped out because of a complete acryllic enclosure. The only corals in the tank are a few feather dusters, green star polyps, ricordea mushrooms, and a green moonstone. All very small being that this is a 12 gallon tank. The hermits are all less than a quarter of an inch. The live rock was fully cured form paragon aquatics, all peices were less than baseball size. Is it likely that i have a mantis shrimp? I cant think of anything else... Thanks, Todd |

he could be behind the rocks, it could be a mantis shrimp, or a crab, at night, wait an hour after lights out, then blast the tank with a flashlight and you should find the b@st@rd

My clown is my most skittish fish and he hides ALOT. Sometimes it is hard to find him. Maybe move some rocks? As for mantis listen for clicks and watch at night.

It's been about 5 days since he disapeared. I've looked at night, no mantis, no crabs, and no clicks.
thanks, Todd |

Hi todd_nano,
I very recently also had a clown disappear on me. It was recommended for me to check out my powerheads in the tank. Well lo' and behold there was one dead clownfish. It actually got sucked up into the powerhead. HTH CaptK |
