I am so happy! I have been waiting in suspense for 6 months for this to happen. I was heavily feeding for quite some time to encourage it(that's how I induce my regular green/brown E. Quads to replicate) however it did not do anything during this period. I went back to once per week and after 1.5 months, bingo.
There is a lot of work to be done now. I am hoping to have the same success rate with the Rose as with my green E. Quads. For those of you who do not know me I have had the best success rate for the green E. Quads that I am aware of. At this point I have 53 documented clones. |

OK, so what's your secret? I'm constantly worrying about mine simply surviving and you're talking about multiplication! When I lived in Carribbean I had ricordia floridia split but my E. quad here is only hanging on, certainly not "thriving". Advice?

Cool... I wish more people would find the "secret" to getting anenomies to survive and thrive like you batman. Maybe all anenomies will be captive raised
that would be cool! I applaud you...

Feed well and good circulation seems to work for me.I have two BTA that have split over the last month.I don't know if it is because the feedings or the clowns hosting them....but it is an awesome thing when it happens!I now have more Anemones than clowns....I have 7 clowns .....waiting to get another true Percula. One other thing ...it seems the Anemones keep the clownfish heathier( free of ick and parasites).

For those with splitting anemones,
How often do you feed your BTAs? |
