How difficult is it to set-up a refugium. I am having a bout with green algae growing on my glass daily, and have heard that a refugium stocked with macro algaes with help keep pest algae under control. Can any one give me some hints and ideas on setting one up for a 65 gal?

Welcome to RL
![]() There are many variables at play when considering a refug., such as, type I.E. gravity feed, pump feed, hangon, and pump flow rate, baffles and design as well as other factors....it can be simple-hard depending on the variables....Yes a refug. will help with pesky algaes in the display tank. My suggestion is to look at all the designs that are out there and decide which one may work best for you. Darren Baucum has put together a website with numerous links to other refugium sites and this should help you get started. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/V.../refugium.html My site has a refugium setup page as well....I also recommend SPASSE's site....but i believe there is links to both of em at Darrens Page. HTH and Good Luck!
