I hear these are quiet pumps. Has anyone tried them?

I think they are great! Scroll up to "which external pump should I use?" Duncan. ------------------ Please tread lightly on the reefs of the world. Visit my world at http://duncansrealm.homestead.com |

Hi:
these gen-X pumps are the same as MAK-4's right??? if soi then i can say they are very good pumps, but i wouldn't consider them quiet. I havce an iwaki40 and a mak4 sitting side by side. Both on large mouse pads(to dampen vibration) and the mak-4 is loud compared to the iwaki (which is realtively quiet). also the iwaki uses less electricity my opinion frank |

OH these Taiwanese pumps are just terrible. Go with the Iwaki pumps, they are a lot better but more expensive.
