    Coraline Colors

    Hi All,
The back wall of my 29G tank is almost fully covered in a nice pink coraline algae. But I was wondering how could I now get the nice green, purple, and reds to start growing???

    Thanks,
    CaptK

Do you have any of the others already in your tank? I'm assuming you do, but thought I'd ask. I've found that the green and red in my tank, also a 29G won't grow on any of the glass areas, only the rocks. It also only seems to creep from rock to rock, unlike the pink which will just show up anywhere. I've tried scraping, scrubbing, and breaking some off and it seemed like it helped a little - but it only grew on other rocks and coral rubble, not the glass.

I think the darker types grow much slower, which may be part of the cause...But I've only come to this conclusion from my own observation, so I might be way off.
