Red face will Rabbitfish keep algae in check?

I have a dark red macroalgae spreading all over my rocks. It looks like very fine red grass, and spreads by runners on the rocks, as well as releasing "balls" of the red "grass" all over. I was reading in Aquarium Fish magazine that Rabbitfish will eat fleshy red macroalgae. Has anyone had experience with Rabbitfish and what algae they will eat? Also, what kind of Rabbitfish is best?
Thanks!
