Anthelia v. Aptasia
You guys ever notice that Anthelia is not infected by Aptasia...I have one on my shell and i wanna kill him but my anthelia is really doing good...
Anyone else notice that?

Hi MastaJ,
What a coincidence. I just rid a piece of rock that had a large colony of Anthelia and one single aptasia anemone in amongst them. The Anthelia were always open and did not seem to be harmed by the anemone. I killed of the anemone by using an injector and using hot boiling water to inject the anemone. And to this day no more bad anemone and the anthelia are doing too good. -CaptK |

yes ive noticed that too,my pipe organ is unaffected as well.also have you noticed that they stay away from a torch coral,its just my exp ,but i moved my torch a little and the aptasia moved away!

Good idea Captain, I will try it even tho there are no harmful effects I just hate the buggers
OR, Yes I have noticed that some corals are unaffected and some actually kill them. For example, at the store I noticed that "we" placed a Meat Coral right next to an aptasia and the next day I couldn't find the darn aptasia...take that, WEED OF THE SEA! ![]()
