Well I just added 150 pounds of southdown sand to my 55 tank and wow it is cloudy. There is a thick creamy foam developing on top of the water mostly around the edges. Should I remove this? Trying to get the water to clear quiker I turned on my skimmer(turboflotor, rio 2100, rio 800). Buzzz. No foam, cant tell if there are bubbles or not becaues of the cloudy water. Is this because I dont have anything but sand and salt water? Should I go ahead and order my rock? Or wait till it clears? have been reading the horror stories about 2 weeks until tank clears etc.
Please help Andrew |

Turn your pumps on and make sure they arent pointed into the sand bed. I skimmed the foam off the top of mine but not sure if you need to. It took mine about 3 days to clear up, so you'll just have to wait it out.
