I am WINNING the WAR!
I am SO happy today... A few days ago I went to my LFS and purchased some stuff to help combat my Cyno problem.. Forgot the name.. Im at work and cant check.. Anyway.. I put the stuff in my tank 3 days ago.. I didnt see much difference the next day, on the second day I noticed it hadnt begun to grow back since cleaning it 2 days before.. And this morning I saw a noticable decrease in the amount that was in my tank and ref.. So much so that it is almost hard to find any patches..I am happy to say my tank almost looks normal.. I took some before and during pictures and will take some after pics tonight..
I would like to give my tank a "tune-up" and thought about getting the SurfZone Live Sand Activator Plus Featuring WONDERMUD from www.ipsf.com for $40.. What do yall think? Check it out here http://www.ipsf.com/#anchor273215 |

Wonder mud is pretty good stuff, but for $20 more you can get it in the $99 for 9 item deal with free shipping and get a bunch of extras.

Mobious,
I know this is a little late, but you should try to figure out the root of your cyano problem instead of just treating the symptoms. Great, you got rid of it, but what was causing it? Too little circulation? Inefficient skimmer?? what? That is what you should be working on. Also, those chems that kill cyano usually also kill your good bacteria, that filter your water. Very possibly, your tank will have to wait until these chems work their way out of your water, and then it will have to start its cycle again and develop its biological filtration over again. I dont know if I would add any corals, or even a cleanup crew until you know how your tank is reacting to this chemical, which could be a week or two. HTH, c |

Your skimmer will pull stuff out because it is mechanical filtration.
Your sand bed, rock, or filters biological filtration is what will take the hit. I would keep a close eye on it. c |

Will do ... thanks chris..
I think it took the biggest hit during the cyno phase.. So maybe a "tune up" or restock might help... |
