my tank is about 2 or 3 years old. its a new tank i had a problem with my old 55 gallon. so i swapped it with this one like less than a year ago. coraline doesnt take long to grow it just really doesnt like my 400watt mh's. so it grows were the light doesnt touch.

fortunately I have fairly low light right now (2 55w pc's) and I think that is what is going to save me a lot of problem algea growth and hopefully promote the good algea. I'm also thinking about cutting my photoperiod by an hour and see what happens.

i use my two 55watt pc's as atinics. the two 400watt mh's are my main lighting. i have no problem with alge with this setup. you shouldnt have any problems with just 110 watts of light!
