I have a Ricordea mushroom on a rock that also has attached to it my large umbrella leather coral. Now, it's gotten big since i've gotten it two months ago. It is the purple/light purple variety with cool looking bubbly tips like an anemone. I'm wondering if these guys can reproduce to make more mushrooms. I only have one leaf of this type of mushroom. Seems like ffexpress.com and anchofish.com usually sell them PER leaf. Are they rare mushrooms or just because theya re expensive? I guess the LFS at PetCo didn't realize this ricordea hitchhiked on the umbrella leather. Nice bonus for me.

they reproduce real slow. if your bored or in a hurry you can cut it in half or just cut the edge off, stick that on a new rock and in a couple weeks the new one will be a whole mushroom on a new rock. and the old guy regrows! i do it with my florida ricordia's all the time.
