Angry Aaackk!!!! Why Me?

I wake up this morning to find how my tank is thriving, i counted 38 bristle worms on the glass, with hundreds of pods, i even found a star fish (COOL) a tiger serpent star! i want one of those, now i dont have to order one but then.... i look to the far left corner, and see a strange looking pod perched on a cerith shell, i go in for a closer look, and i nearly started crying, whats the only invert that can make a grown aquarist cry? i attached a pic of a mantis shrimp from another site that looks almost exactly like it (i cant find the camera for the life of me!

it is about 1 cm long, and 1 mm wide, also it isnt the ONLY ONE! I counted 12!!!!!

only difference, is mine dont have their "claws" tucked in, they are out, and ready to fight!

Im afraid it looks a little too much like one!

why me? i dont even know how to get small ones ike that, they keep ducking behind rocks...

I am sorry to hear that. If they are still really small then maybe you could syphon them out when you see them.

I felt the same way when I started seeing these buggers! I was like "woah my tank is infested with bugs!!" but then I did some research and found out people actually buy these things and put them in there tank for some reason. I'm not quite sure what they're good for. They're probably food for certain types of fish or shrimp or whatev.

amphipods are some of the best scavengers/algea grazers you can have.just cause you dont often see them cleaning up,dont think they arent hard at work all night
all that ,and a natural perpetual food source for many of the fish we keep.nothing bad about any of that

Don't believe these other posers! Go with your gut instincts and siphon every last one of those killers out of there. Carefully package them, and send them to me at:
