My Yellow Tang ate it pretty quick! I had a nice sized handful I put in, hoping it would grow at least fast as the Tang picked at it. I guess I did not get enought cuz he at it ALL!
If you would like to get rid of some of it, I'll pay you for a nice sized clump, plus shipping to AZ. Lemme know cuz I need some more. Thanks!

Yellow Tangs and Purple Tangs have eaten every clump of Grape Caulerpa I've ever tried to introduce into my tank.

My Hippotang loves the stuff also, He was pretty P.Oed at me when I had to remove it due to the weed going asexual, or bleaching or what ever it's called when it melts down and turns your tank green
It would grow about 2" a week though!

I bought a Horned Boxfish (again...this is what the LFS that sold it to me called it) and I found out that he not only is a great character for the tank, but he absolutely mowed my grape calerpa!!!!! Before him I had to cut/prune it back weekly... now I cant even see it. But "Horny" is a good price to pay for the lost calerpa...he is great!

About the only stuff that tangs wont eat is the feather calurpa but it grows pretty fast and and can take over tank if you dont keep a good eye on it.

ScooterPie~ The only type of caulerpa I know of that tangs won't touch is the razortooth also called sawtooth caulerpa. If you're just looking to grow some macro algea, you might try some Halimeda... tangs won't usually eat that either. My tang ate up all my feather caulerpa in a hurry! he also likes to mow on grape caulerpa.

Tangs WILL eat feather calurpa, at least mine do, it must be like chinese food too, less filling cuz it didnt take em long to work that stuff down to a non existant state! IME sawtooth calurpa and halimeda aren't generally eaten by tangs, halimeda is a slow grower but sawtooth grows like feather... rapid!
