Let's See Your Skimmate!

Let's compare 2 days worth of skimmate and see if there is any significant difference in brands.

This is from a Remora Pro on my 55+ show tank.

You're right. Sometimes I scare myself... When did I become interested in someone else's sewage?

Sorry for the problem Scuba. Apparently I'm not supposed to post just a pic from my files, I have to show the whole page. I fixed it above but here it is again.

OK, so is there a conclusion from all this mucking about? I am only using a cheap hang-on Skelter, still fairly new but badly in need of retirement, and have been waiting ever-so-anxiously for some recommendations. As I do not have overflows, is there a decent hang-on skimmer that anyone can suggest, or can any tank be outfitted with an under-tank skimmer? I must have a replacement, as the Skelter does not produce enough sewage and poop to keep me happy.

One person mentioned that the Remora is a good model for the price.

Thanks.
Gabriel

Yes the aqua-c remora pro is a very good hang on skimmer for the price. You will be happy with its purchase.

I searched around a lot when I was looking for a hang on skimmer and people mainly suggested the remora, cpr bak-pak, and Precision Marine's hot-1. The people who had tried all of these or at least a couple always said that PM's hot-1 was the best. So I ordered one, and I have to say I was very impressed. I don't have much experience with skimmers, but unless you have an in-sump model with a huge pump, I don't see how you could do better than this.
