Yesterday I got my package from IPSF.com.. And all I have to say is WOW.. This stuff looks great.. The snails & micro hermits went right to work after I put them in my tank and refugium.. The tang heaven and Feather Calurpa look very healthy.. The Mirical (sp) mud is teaming with life.. And the pods look very good as well..
I am a Police officer in Atlanta and we are on 12 hour shifts right now.. So I had to come home during my shift get the package, put it in my tank and get back to work.. It took me about an hour to get everything in..When I returned from work, as soon as I opened the door, I knew something was wrong.. My return pump wasnt pumping.. When I walked over to check it out I heard the dreaded sound carpet makes when it is soaked... I feel so stupid for admitting this.. but it makes a good story on what NOT to do.. When I opened the doors I saw my refugium had fallen over...It appears that some TH had gotten stuck in the return tube and caused the refugium to over flow.. And stupid me.. I had it sitting on a cardboard box The box was water logged and crushed... And here I am with out any salt water ready.. Quick thinking and an even quicker DI unit saved the day.. I transported everything in my refugium in to my tank..With only a few PODs KIA and 2 snails MIA... So now I have a tank full of Tang Heaven and one soon to be over weight Yellow Tang.. ![]() |

It definately could have been worse. And dont feel bad, its automatically excusable when you get an order in from IPSF! the excitement is too much to bear
glad to hear your still somewhat in good spirits though.

Yup!
Yea Scuba it could have been worse.. When I was setting up my stand, after I sealed the bottom I put a one piece layer of heavy plastic on the inside bottom of the stand.. Just in case something like this happens.. And guess what.. It worked.. Sorta.. It kept most of the water inside the stand away from the wood and carpet..
