Unhappy Algae?

Set up the tank two weeks ago: 65 gallon,refugium,5-6inch sand bed with southdown, 3 maxi jet 600 on wavemaker, mag9.5 for ciculation, 2-250 10kmh with 2-55 w pc and 52 pound of pacific cured live rock.

Noticed this brown algea today. I used rodi water, I have a kent that does 60 gallons a day.

Parametersh8.2-8.4 ammonia-0,nitrite0, nitrate0.2ppm,phospate-0,alk3.5 meq,temp78-82.

I did a 5 gallon h2o change on monday. any suggestions? is this normal? what next?

Will it go away? I hoped that with the macro's in the tank that this would compete with the micro algea

It should go away, it's part of the cycle . Just wait and see.

Nothing to worry about!!! this is very normal with a new tank... you'll get sudden outbreaks of brown algea and slime algea. Mostly caused because some of the levels are off and are realigning themselves. Could also be because some rock and gravel is curing.
