carpet anenome

recently got a new carpet anenome about a week ago. a few days ago, it had finally settled into a corner, and was doing great. fully opened up during the day and was eating too. but last night, i got home and saw it all shriveled up. and when looking at it closer, i saw that there was some damage to the sides of it. the heater is behind some rocks right where the anenome settled, and i saw some pieces of the anenome stuck to the glass tube. i did not know that the heater could do that to the anenome. has anyone seen anything like that before?
this morning, the anenome didnt look good at all, its on its side and is not attached to the rock any more. is it done for?
