VERY POOR Service from Aquarium Products

I have used several online ventors but Aquarium Products in Maryland is the worse I have done business with.

I ordered some Gemini Pumps and I broke a little plastic part and have called 3 times to no avail. Greg says he will call back or e-mail me and to this day I haven't heard a word.

I would never order anything from them again, talk about customer service or the lack of it.

I know of some people in our club that has used them for years.

I broke the part when cleaning which you have to do every few months.

That doesn't excuse the poor service!

Hi Mark, I know you will think I am crazy but till I change my electric output (rewire to 20 Amp Breaker) I am just going to run 4 x 60" 140 watt VHO and have nothing but softies and leathers for now.

I love the SPS but losing approx. 900.00 hurts not counting the beautiful coral I had.

I am going to hold off till I can do it the correct way.

Barry, Sorry to hear about the SPS, Your tank was a few months newer then mine, You must have been buying whole colonies of SPS. I did buy three colonies but most\all others were traded or given to me, mostly frags but I did get two or three very nice colonies from Ermin... I still have a hard time spending $$ on them because my tank is only 8 months old. Isn't there some reefers down your way you can trade with? I don't expect my tank to look good (grow out) for another 2 years.

I wonder if the softies played any roll in your RTN break out?

naser, that is what I had spent on SPS over the past 8 to 9 months.

Mark, I am sure it was the heat spike that cause the problem with the SPSs.

Talking i like softies and lps

they are what got me into the hobby in the first place.some acropora are nice ,but they dont sway in the current or eat a chunk of shrimp .ill always have softies and lps, even if i add some sps to the tank.

86 degress.

Now I am having MORE problems. Something contaminated my water. When I got home today as soon as I walked into the house I spelled something bad. The water in the sump smelled terrible ! My Xenia, bubble all limp and my BIG toadstool is falled over and limp. 4 of my clams dead Took them out and did it smell !

I have been thinking ALL night what may have cause this. Cleaned skimmer out, couldn't fine any fish dead and they all seem to be fine. The only thing that I have done since friday is, got a yellow leather, colt coral and yellow polyps. Put a few gallon of NSW that I have had stores for about a week. Nothing else other than change the lights.

I am about to give up.
