orange striped cardinals

Does anyone know anything about these? I haven't been able to find out anything on the net. I have 2 of them and they are shaking their bodies just like the Banggais do so I am hoping they might also be a pair. I am trying to find out all I can about them so I can give them the best home possible. I did read that they were omnivors and that they were reef safe. Does that sound correct? Do you know if they are mouth brooders like the Banggais?

And yes, they are mouthbrooders.

Im answering for Rhonda here, but I bet those are not her cardinals?
There are a species called orange stripe cardinals. They are a silverish white have 2(i believe) orange stripes going down their sides. They look like cards in the main body but they do not have the big fins like bangii or pajamas
It looks like the common card, i will try and find a pic.....

That looks like the Yellow Striped Cardinalfish (Apogon cyanosoma): http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Spec...name=cyanosoma There is also the Ochre Striped Cardinalfish (Apogon compressus): http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Spec...ame=compressus

All are mouthbrooders.

You are correct Ninong, but you know as well as i do all the misnomers in this hobby and trade.
The lfs that i work at, sells and buys the ones I posted as orange stripe cardinal fishes.
So in my best judgement, I would bet that that is what Rhonda got, the 2-3 wholesellers we use, lable the yellow stripes as orange stipes for some reason???

I like those, we kept them in a reef type enviroment. they are docile just like all cards, and seem to make a nice addition to a tank.
imo
