Question Surface Egg Mass in Refugium

I came back from a vacation and noticed a 2 inch scum like mass on the surface of my refugium. It is matted in the top of the caulerpa. At first I tried to net it out thinking it was just algae growing on the top of the water but, then I noitced it was hard, almost like plastic bubbles. Does anybody know what it might be? There are all kinds of little critters in the refugium. Anybody ever have this?

Yeah. It is called dried scum. It might also be cyanobacteria. After scooping it out daily I decided to ignore it and have a powerhead in my refugium to help circulate the water more.
