Heater size?
I am getting back into the hobby after a lengthy recess and was wondering how many watts per gallon again is recommended for a heater..
I will be putting it into a 28 gallon bowfront awuarium that I will be drilling, adding an overflow, and having about a 7 gallon sump. Greg |

Generally it is around 3 watts per gallon.
A 75 watt should be plenty unless you are going have your house really cold in the winter then a 100 watter. |

Two 50 watts would be better than a single 75 or 100, as if one goes thermal or fails you won't have to worry about it wasting the tank as quickly.
