I'm upsizing to a 75G (hurray), but I plan to keep my 29G running and hook them both up to the same sump system (will upgrade sump to fit new stand - or just add another sump.)
Anyway, I know how to hook it up just fine..but, can I cycle the new tank hooked up to the existing tank? It shouldn't hurt anything should it? I don't plan on putting anything in it to start other than the sand bed. |

I do plan on LR, eventually probably anywhere from 100-150#, but I have to add it as my budget allows; so it will be very slowly.
![]() I kind of figured there wouldn't be much of a cycle as long as I built up the other tank slowly. |
