Smile hoodless 54 corner update

Look Ma! No Fans!
ok,
cycled...
some softies from the 180 and 65 are in place.

The fixture just plain rocks for this setup, still experimenting with supplimentation though with a 10" fixture hidden behind the Giesemann HQI.

TurboFl1000 Multi skimmer...highly recommend.
Reactor will be procured shortly. (still pricing)

Xenia hated the MH at first, that was not expected. All other soft corals (previously under VHO) have grown more in three weeks than they had in the last 4 months. Silver Gorgonian, and Long Polyp Leather have had the most substantial growth

Hi Schrocat,

It's looking good! You forgot to tell people that you are using a single Giesemann Nova II fixture with a Ushio/BLV 250w 10,000K HQI double-ended lamp.

Any concerns about jumpers yet?

You can see his fixture here on Giesemann's site (except that his is Polar White): http://www.giesemann.de/GB_Nova.html

He has it suspended from the ceiling. The fixture comes with adjustable fittings that make it very easy to raise and lower it at will. I believe he has it suspended about 12" above the surface.

Here is a pic:

Nah...
The false percs never leave the bottom right of the tank.
Exact same spot they had in the 180.
I have however, had fish in the past that would stage dive out of this setup.

It is great to be able to turn off the main pump and look straight down into the tank with the lights still on.
Will make for awesome clam viewing.

I love those lights. How much do they run, and where can you get them?

*Andrew's mind is turning with ideas*

Thanks for any info,
Andrew
