Well, I got a cleaner shrimp last night. I think it's a Lysmata amboinensis, or maybe L. grabhami. I think I got a bargain on it too, because the guy who packed it labeled it as a banded coral shrimp, only $9.99, heh heh heh.
Within half an hour of putting it in my tank, it was trying to clean the royal gramma, but the fish wasn't too comfortable with it, and would swim away within a couple seconds. Do you think the fish will eventually settle down and let himself be cleaned? The fish is probably intimidated since the shrimp is almost as big as he is. |

Ususally they settle down, but some fish don't tolerate it at all. Sometimes the shrimp get a little hyper and I think they try to eat the fish! Good guys to have, but if you have clams keep an eye on them, mine ate two maxima's before I realized it was him.
