Yellow Polyps

before i go out and get some of these, they like low light to medium light, low to moderate current, will eat what ever floats by but you don't have to feed them?

anything else?

I used to have some. They liked the "shade" in my tank. Not intense light at all but lower half of the tank. I have seen them though in almost every lighting scenario available from Top to bottom and 2 watts per gallon to 15 watts per gallon.

Note: If they like your tank, they spread like wildfire. I have seen on more than one occasion, overflows covered in yellow polyps and sides of the tank.
You dont have to feed them. Maybe supply some vitamin or nutrient like combisan(i have had good luck with this product) but no direct feeding is necessary.

Hope this helps

I agree that light is not a major concern, however mine lost out to zoanthid polyps that eventually took over and now I don't have a single yellow left. They are so cheap I would go for it anyway. They looked really nice when I had 'em.

We have our yellow polyps about 8 inches under a 250 watt MH bulb in moderate to high current. We feed golden pearls once a week. We have to frag them at least once a month. They are very hardy corals and will thrive in a variety of conditions. Just put them in the tank and move them around untill they seem happy.

JME,
Andrew
