Just Got some frags from Greg Hiller - WOW!!
I have bought many times from Greg in the past but his stuff keeps getting better and better. These last frags were unbelieveable!
I managed to get down to Greg Hillers house this weekend and I came away with The two best looking Acropora's I have seen first hand. One is a a blue tipped tourquise/teal branched grey bodied acro. The other is a violet/bright blue tipped purple bodied with Green irredescenct hue. Along with that I got a Blastomussa Wellsi Frag that has a real nice brown/red coloration with florescent green highlights. I really need to get a digital camera to show you guys the color and quality of these frags. Get this when my wife saw them she even said "Wow, those are beautiful." Now that is when you know you got some good frags. I will try to see if I can borrow a friends digital camera to get some pictures up. -Jake

Does this person
ever sell to people and ship? I have been looking for a blastomussa with the green on it with no luck. Also the acropora frags sound beautiful. I have many SPS but nothing with the blue and I have also been looking for blue ones. If you can post pics I would love to see them. Also let me know if he ships and how I might be able to contact him. Congrats on the new frags. They do sound very nice.

Greg does ship and he does it very well too. I've ordered from Greg about 3-4 times now. His coral are the healthiest, best colored stuff. I have only gotten sps frags from him but the blastomussa sounds sweet too. His website is www.angelfire.com/ma3/ghcorals.
I hope that is correct. my 180 ecosystem sps tank: http://berlinmethod.com/suet/ my 120 now ecosystem sps tank: http://suetruett.homestead.com/home.html www.marshreef.org/members Last edited by SueT; 11-07-2001 at 07:07 PM. |

Thanks Sue
I went and looked at his site. Also wrote and asked him what he had in stock right now.
I looked at your tank. It is really awesome. I really like the pink and the blues. I have a lot of SPS but I am having a hard time find the ones with lots of pink and blues. Can I ask you were you find really good SPS besides Greg that is? |

Sue and all,
One coral that has really become stunning in my tank from Greg is his Pink with Blue tips hairy Acropora. I think it may be A. Millipora. Anyways Greg Has always had great sucess with this coral under VHO. He said the color is best under it. But for some reason in my tank it has become absolutely spectacular when put (After very lengthy acclimation- 3 months from bottem of tank to on top in middle of tank) directly under 400W Iwakasi. It is now about 10 inches directly below the bulb and now the top half of the branches are this amazing violet blue with salmon color lower on the branches. Also where a new branch will form or whereever there is active growth the coral colors up like none I have ever seen in person. I would definitly reccommend this coral to anyone. It is not a particularly fast grower but it isn't slow either. Regards Jake

I have not gotten anything from Cquarium in a long time. Most of the sps corals I get are from Steve Tyree, Aquarium City, Joe Kelley, Ron Coleman, Upscales, Lone Star Corals, FFE & Rod's Reef. I trade with a lot of sps keepers too.

I have been getting away from too many wild colonies. Steve is about the only person I'd order them from or my lfs, if there is something I know how to care for. The majority of the links I gave have captive raised. These are the best to grow from. I do acclimate everything the exact same way.
