Angry I don't see my fish enough since adding MH

I upgraded from 220W PC to 2*250 10K MH + 220W VHO Actinics. Needless to say it is MUCH brighter in the tank.

The downside of that seems to be that my fish like to hide in the caves & overhangs that I have. They are hardly every out and about anymore. I have 1 yellow tang, 5 green chromis and a pair of maroon clowns. The maroons are more visible because they hang out in their anemone which loves the light, but the others are always back behind the rockwork. The moment the MHs are off and just actinic is on, they are out swimming in full view again.

Will they eventually get used to the light, or do I need to get used to rarely seeing my fish?

Thanks

Rob

They will get used to the additional light. If you feed them when the MH's are on it will help them to be out. I had the same problem and it took 3-4 weeks.

Kevin's right the fish should get used to the new lighting. Give it some time. Bob

I was hoping that's what I'd hear. Thanks.
