Unhappy millions of tiny bugs!

Was watchin some tv when I went over to give the tank 1 out of the 20 daily checks. My eyes popped out of my head...just about every square inch of the front glass is covered with little clear bugs with a black dot in the center. I tried to take a pic but they're too small, smaller then a grain of sand. Corals and fish are fine. Never seen these before, anyone else?

Ya I get them all the time, they are a smaller model pod, they kinda look like lice. Every once and a while they will have a hatch and you'll see them on your glass. Thier a sign of a healthy tank and pose no problem.

they also make a good snack for your fish and crabs.

good luck

Thanks, you're right, exactly like lice.

dude that's awesome.
I wish I had that many bugs in mine.

Depending on how big your tank is, and how much live rock you've
got, you might be able to keep a mandarin goby in there. they love
that stuff.

BlueWater, I have a fat and happy mandarin dragonet This is my 72 gallon bow front, alot of the LR and LS is from my 155 bow. Organicreefer, The 155 has been up for a little over a year now and the 72's been up for about 5-6 months, so you may be right. This is the first time I've ever noticed this explosion in pods in any of my tanks. I've been adding more LR to the 72 from the 155, I'm making the 155 more of a FO tank with the 72 being the reef. There's about 100 lbs. of LR in the 72.
