its up its running

Finally got it built and installed. I have one drain entering the refugium and one drain entering the sump. The refugium drains in the front of the sump through a 2 inch bulkhead. In the froint compartment the water is baffled and flows into the main compartment. In this compartment I have a built in skimmer, a pump that flows water through an aborbsion filter ( three canisters, carbon, nitrate absorb, phoshate absorb) this filter has a control valve. also thier is holerd built in for my probes and for the return of the Calcium reactor. From this compartment the water baffles to the final compartment where it is returned by two 1800gph mag's. AND NO LEAKS BABY.

I've been having some problems posting pics so here is the link

Looks great!

However,

all those sponges and absorbtion pads are gonna cause you some nitrate problems, regardless of there intended purpose. would'nt you think?

I hear you the sponge I figure I will have to clean once a week. The Pads are polypads and actually aborb Nitrates and Ammonia and so on.

but thanks

Question

Well, the tank looks good, but I think that a household water heater is a bit much. What type of pipeing are you using from the water heater and just how big is your tank anyway? Do you live in Antartica?

Great pics though...
