Cyle done! What do I add?
My 125g is done cycling. I currenly only have live sand in the tank, but plan to add live rock and reef later. I only have 3 damsels in right now. What kind of fish do you recommend?

Since you intend this to be a reeftank, do not add any more fish until after you have added your live rock and completely cycled your tank with live rock in place.
You may want to consider very carefully whether you want to keep your three damsels or return them to the LFS. Many folks decide too late that they would rather not have damsels in their reeftank. They are very difficult to remove once the live rock is in the tank. It would have been much better to have skipped the damsel stage altogether. You could have cycled your tank with just sand and live rock. Ninong |

i agree with ninong, finish setting up youre aquascape first, you might get spikes from new live rock(unless you have a seperate tank to cure it in.).
i also agree about the damnsels think about what fish you would like to keep in the long run,and chose carefully.too often i see poeple that keep adding just one more fish because its one they just have to have, and end up overstocking(imo).try to avoid the one more fish mentality, those damsels are taking up the space in youre bio-load to the tune of three small nice fish then again some poeple like damsels, and if you do great ![]() |
