Tank Picture
Hi All,
Just thought I would post a picture of how my tank is looking to date. Granted it is not as nice as some of you other pro's but I am getting there slowly. And thanks to everyone in helping me get this far!!!!!!! Tank size = 29G Please pardon the reflection of the house in the picture off of the tank. |

What is that plant like thing in the middle left? I like the way it is near the surface of the water, thats pretty cool.
What lights are you running? |

Nice Job,
How old is the tank right now? It does take time. My 72g bowfront turned 1yr old just a couple of months ago.

Watermama, most people probably get the sargassum from live rock, thats where I got mine. I didn't even know I had it until it started growing out of a small rock.

Oh nice, so that is what that stuff is. I've got a small bit on some LR I bought, I've been trying to make it grow but it keeps getting nipped down before it can.. time it move it to the sump.

Hi All,
Ya that is Sargassum alright. I never asked for it it just came on the rock out of nowhere. It grows like crazy in my tank. I just really recently upgraded my lighting to an IceCap 660 w/ 3 75 watt bulbs. And I am glad I have done it. The tank is about a year old..almost. I plan on getting the 9 for 99 at Jeffs soon and then possibly one more small fish and then thats it! Then I let nature take over and do the rest. -CaptK |
