I'm not sure if I recollect this correctly, but I think I remember hearing that you can treat a sting by applying the hottest water you can stand to the sting. An anti-inflammatory couldn't hurt either. Try Naprosyn(Aleve). It works well. Take 3 tablets as opposed to 2. Good luck my friend. HTH

When I was working PT here and there at the LFS, I had to fish out an anemone from a tank for someone and forgot that I had a nice sized gash on the back of my wrist from playing with a butterfly knife (for all the kids at home, those things are NOT! toys).....anyway, I remembered quickly once I felt THE PAIN!
![]() Mine just subsided after a while....other than that, I have never been stung...sometimes they feel sticky, but no sting. -Perry |

I've seen the hot water treatment used on a couple of guys who were tagged by stingrays while surfing in Costa Rica... it helped them. The scenario is a little diiferent but the heat should help you anyway.
I was once treated for an allergic reaction on my chest from snorkeling in a shallow cove...also in Costa Rica(very funny story). The doctor gave me Benadyryl to treat it. It worked very well but boy was I drowsy. If you find that you are having an allergic reaction, you may want to call the doctor. Just some thoughts... hope you're feeling better. Bob |

I had the same thing happen. I had a cut on my hand, and reached into my LTA at the time. I got a swolled arm and it burned.
I just waited and it went away in 1 hr or so. Think the hot water might work. J

Soaking in hot water mixed with Vinegar will help dissolve the stinging cells. I was stung by some jellyfish in Mexico last year. I went to the bar and they gave me some limes and salt. I rubbed the stings with salty lime juice and the burn went away very quickly. I am sure the tequila helped a little too.
