Tank Moving Questions
I moved my 20g tank over the weekend to our new house. I'm really glad I held off getting a bigger tank before we moved, because the 20g was enough!
Things went pretty smoothly. The water temp dropped to about 72 (from 78). My only fish (percula clown) seems fine though, and I am slowly raising the temp. My sandbed got stirred up pretty bad. The water is clear now, but I'm concerned for my sandbed life. I've only got about 2" of sand, but it was teeming with worm life. I haven't spotted any critters in it since the move last Friday. Will at least some of the life have survived? I transported the bed intact in the bottom of the tank, with a small amount of water. Travel time was only 20 minutes, but it sloshed all around due to the bumpy ride. The only other problem is the tube on my large feather duster seems to have ruptured. Its crown is sticking out of a hole in the side of the tube. It's not looking so good, but I think it's still alive. Will it be able to rebuild its tube, or is it history? Thanks in advance for any input/advice.

Your sand bed probably suffered some loss as a result of the move, but it will probably recover in due time. As far as the Feather Duster thing goes, I'll have to refer you to someone else for that one. I've never kept featherdusters.
