maitaining coralline
hi, i just replaced a couple of faded LR with fresh LR from the beach.
i have a FOWLER and i want to maintain the color. is it possible just to add kalk and not having to switch on the lights? my tank is outside so it still gets a little illuminated from the surrounding light. ![]() |

most definitely
coralline actually grows well in low-light situations. It actually grows faster IMO with very little to no light at all when it first starts growing. Keep your calcium and alkalinity cranked, and keep your phosphates as low as possible. Dripping kalk will help in all of those areas.
