Question Need a few propogation tips.

Welp folks looks like Krazy Glue Gel it is. Thanks for the input there.

I am going to the store tonight to get the glue and now I need a few tips on how to do this.

I just grab one of the mushrooms laying on the bottom, pick out a rock I want to glue it too, glue it to it and put it back in the tank?

Do I need to prep the LR in anyway?

Will the glue harm the water or any other inhabitants in the tank if it is not dry? (does the water dry the glue?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Hi SHOG,
Use a paper towel and blot dry the shroom and rock as much as possible. Put some of the gel on the rock and place the shroom in it. Wait a few seconds and put back into tank. The glue will not bother the tank at all. BTW I have had mixed results gluing most types of soft corals without using some sort of netting to hold it in place. Softies tend to slime up and detach from the rock. I use the mesh bag that you get from the store that holds oranges or onions. Glue the frag in place and cover it with a small piece of mesh. The mesh can be glued or rubberbanded in place. After a few days to a week remove the mesh. Here's more info:

Well, FWIW, I've never tried gluing Mushrooms but I did "frag" a Leather coral and glued it down. Instead of using mesh, I used toothpicks. I inserted the toothpicks into the rock and then...impaled the Leather onto them using Krazy Glue as well. Worked well. HTH

    Mushroom finicky...

Hey there SHOG! I had ZERO success using glue on mushroom. It would only stick temporarily and then the mushroom would just pull itself free and float somewhere else. You know what I do instead? I get a clean deli container, poke holes all through it to let water flow in, put some crushed coral shells or small rocks and make sure the container is weighed down, and then place your mushrooms in there and after a few days they attach to a piece of rock or shell. Then you can glue the rock or shell where you want it. This has worked for me so it might help you. Good luck!
