I am considering purchasing an Ocean Currents wavemaker for my sump return. They make Oscillators, pulsars, and a combination of the two. I would like to know how well they are performing in your reef.
Thanks, Jack PS: I am willing to sacrifice the 10% or less that they reduce the pump throughput. |

You might check out this less than glowing review of the product:
Aquarium Frontiers Review by Harker If you are currently throttling back your pump 25-30% or more then this product would be useful in accomplishing that function for you and giving you ocsillating current. Otherwise it looks like the 10% loss is significantly understated. FWIW, Nathan ------------------ Always get a 2nd opinion. (and a 3rd, 4th, etc...) Check out my Homepage |

I also use a SeaSwirl and am very pleased..no heat, no noise, gentle motion...

I researched this same subject awhile ago, and I picked the Sea Swirl over the other products. So far, I've been very happy with the Sea Swirl. You don't lose any output, and it is silent. I have the 3/4" outflow model.
