I would love to sell you a frag....but I doubt it would do good in your 10gal mini reef....M. Capricornis is an SPS and is very light demanding....what kind of lights do you have?

hi scubadude. till next week I only have a powerglo and a blue moon actinic blue light for a total of 30 watts. will be up to 60 watts in a week or so. Right now I mainly want more rock, what's growing on isin't as important. I need to get more purple algae growing before my emerald crab kills it all. Are emeralds known to be reef-killers? Maybe I could feed him algae flakes? Thanks.

Well wpg (watts per gallon) is not the only rule of thumb, with most type of sps you will need a much higher level of par in the correct spectrum thus being MH's or HQI. You may get one of my frags to survive in your tank but generally not to be as near to prolific as with the MH/HQI's.
