Question feeding a new sandbed

I have a 3" sandbed (SD), have just finished cycling/curing 150# LR in a 120 gallon. Will be adding more SD, live sand and then detrivore kits from IPSF and Inland on Friday. I understand that I should feed the sandbed. How much and with what? I am dosing Bionic now. There are only some snails in there now and a wide variety of algae. I read another recent post on this but they had fish, I do not have any yet and assume I won't for a while. Everything is at 0 now so I know it is cycled. It's been up and going for a month. But I assume there could be a spike after I add this new stuff, but how long should I wait after things return to 0? Thanks for the help!
