Just curious- what is the oldest fish you were ever able to keep? one of the first fish I ever bought is still alive today. My Maroon Clown is now about 6 years old! he is one fat, happy, healthy fish! anybody know what fish has the longest life-span?

There was a lady on CompuServe's Fishnet that said her tang (at least I think she mentioned tang - it was quite some time ago) was almost 20 yrs old. That's pretty impressive if it were true!

As for me, I have a flame angel (Centropyge loriculus) that is a little over 10 yrs young. You'd never know it by looking at it. It looks just the same as any other flame - just a bunch fatter!

Had a freshwater plecostmis once that went through a broken tank ( lived on a wet floor for a day) and I had for 5 years afterward.Eventually gave it to the science teacher at my highschool. He had a couple of big tanks that had some real big oscars that were there for at least 6 years. Heck it might still be there ......mike
