Crabs...
I found the claws and abdomen of a small crab, and am worried about how to get rid of it, from the claw im guessing it is about 1" wide

Have you added any new rock lately or a coral? Are all your corals still ok, any snails missing? The fact that you found the left over molt may mean that is has been in your system from day 1 and I wouldn't take it out unless it does something.
In fact I just found a dark black crab with blue spots that comes out once a night, and the last time I had new liverock was over 2 years ago, and it has never done anything(because I would have seen the empty shells) Atleast put it in the sump, if you do catch it, because it wasn't a hitchhiker, it lived in that piece of rock long before you bought it. |

i dont see as many snails as i used to, in fact i rarely see nassarius, but the cerith have held strong i still have about 20 cerith...
no new additions. my ricordia is growing as fast as i would expect a slow growing coralimorph to grow, the xenia seem to be aggitated every so often, but i think that is the bluebanded hermit bumping into it with his conch shell (B@stard) mark |
