Im getting raped with hair algae, what can the problem be
excess phosphates or nitrates?
how can i prevent this long term and short term? thanks

Hi Venaman,

Could you provide some more details about your tank? Size, inhabitants, feeding schedule, filtration, lights, light age....ect.

That will really help responders give you some personalized input, other than the common "bring down nitrates, phosphates, and buy herbivors".

Have you tested water parameters? What are the nutrient levels?

Many times there is no easy route to rid it overnight. Helping with some more info will get ya on the right track though.
