I am getting ready to install my Calcium Reactor. Does anybody know what is the best substrate to be used for Calcium Reactor?

I too use Carib Sea ARM. Holds CA and alk levels better than the others I have tried. Also requires less C02.

The people whom I have puchased my Reactor (Marine Technical Concepts) recommended Caribsea Florida Crushed Coral, Geomarine Formula It is a little cheaper but that is not my main concern. According to the Caribsea Website, it has other beneficial trace elements as well. Here's the web site:

I was hoping for some real life experience from people who have already tried it.

Thankyou all,

Goodgreef,
I have owned the MTC Pro-Cal for a few years now, and I have tried many different substrates during this time. But I have always returned to the GEOMARINE. In my humble opinion it is far superior to any of the other substates that I have tried. HTH.
