Northman, sound like a mantis alright! I took a total of five out of my rock. I caught a couple with X-terminator traps. The best way to get rid of them though is figure out which rock they are hanging out in, then take the rock out and do a high salinity dip (1.30) for a few minutes and they will come right out. If you don't see them during the day, wait to your lights are out for a while and slowly go up to your tank with a flashlight and see if you can see them then. They are very smart and hard to catch, good luck!

Northman if you have got hermit crabs with holes in their shells, I would definitely say it is a mantis. Are the clicks one after the other or just one once and a while. I have a pistol in my tank and usually he sounds off just one click every now and then. By the way where did you get your live rock from??
