IPSF Reccomendations??
I've ordered the IPSF Mix'N'Match special before, and I'm thinking of ordering it again. They've added some new critters since last time, so I'm looking for reccomendations on what to choose. Here's what I'm thinking so far:
1) Live Sand Activator 2) Strombus Grazers 3) Sandbed Clams (these are new to me, any comments?) 4) Reef Amphipods 5) Bristle Worms 6) Nerite Grazers 7) Turbo Grazers 8) Wonder Mud 9) Micro Hermits I also may add the "Mama Mia" worms and/or the Mini Stars. I'm definitely staying away from all the Tang Heaven, I have MORE than enough algae in my tank already, and last time I got the Tang Heaven it made a huge mess out of my tank. So, what do you guys think? ~Alyce |

Yes to more worms.
I might either get the LS activator or the mud, not both. I would think they are similar. If I remember you have LR and LS in your tank and are batteling hair algea. If so, I might lean towards more snails if possilbe. Welcome Back! ![]()

im not too fond of the nerites myself, they seem to like to leave the aquarium(besides youll get some of those with the LS).i just recieved a 9 for 99 on friday and i got the sandbed clams.i put them in my refugium and they opened up,i guess their filter feeding.
youre choices look pretty good to me |

For what you getting/got is great for starting a SB as ltspd said more worms is the only thing I would change. Now as far as an upgrade from a matured SB I would get more worms. Now that I think about it I would email Gerald specifically and ask for a bunch of mama mia, spaghetti, bristle worms as possible but get them bagged only 5 per bag that way you can release them in different parts of your SB. some of them worms just create one big ball and they all have to be put in once spot unless he uses multiple bags, even if this cost extra to me it would be worth it!

I would skip the clams, IME I ordered about 2 dozen in my package several months back and most of them have emerged from the DSB and got eaten up by my trigger and angel.
Also the micro hermits are not so micro anymore and are now living in on some of the nerites shells I would stick to the worms and pods next time I order ![]() |
