KH too high...help!

KH too high...help!

Today i did my water test and i found a problem....my Kh is too high. I got a reading of 140mg/l ppm. Also my ph is at 8.5 . How do i lower them to normal levels?? I have no clue how to fix this problem. Can anyone help!?

Your alkalinity is not too high. In fact, you might want to consider raising it a bit. 140mg/l = 7.82 dKH = 2.79 mEq/l Many people consider 3.5 mEq/l and 10 dKH to be about right.

And your pH is not all that high either. A range of 8.2 - 8.45 is considered ideal.
