Finally got calcium and alk. test kits. Was having a low calcium problem.Added a a bunch of bio calcium over the course of a week and got it up to 370 ppm. Changed calcium to seachem reef calcium and put in a dose and got it up to 400ppm.My problem now is my alk.Never had it tested before so I dont know what average would be,but its running approx.16.0 meq/l,44.8dkh. I know this has to be very high. Have not tested my plain R.O. water but may have to,possible culprit. P.H. is running 8.1 in the A.M. and 8.4 at night before lights out. Same results from 2 different test kits and 2 different people. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Hey RAZZ, basically you are having problems getting that calcium up due to the high alkalinity.... 12-15 meq/l is where you want it, don't worry about PH, if you keep Alk where it needs to be the PH will stay in its appropriate ranges. The buffering capacity of your RO should be pretty low. What additives do you use?

Thanx for the reply VAFLYER, U dont think my ALK is that high. The only thing that I add that would effect my ALK is seachem reef buffer, and I only use that once in awhile.Ithought ALK. was suppossed to be 3-4 meq/l range. Any further comments would be appreciated.
