Thumbs up The Book of Coral Propagation by Anthony Calfo

Just got a new book from a local author here in Pittsburgh. It's fantastic and I wanted to pass it on to as many as possible. Since I've known you folks for a long time now I know that knowledge is highly regarded and this book teaches techniques and emphasizes how important conservation is and how important it is to aquaculture. You can get the book many places. I've seen it at Premium Aquatics or you can buy direst from his site at www.readingtrees.com
It's worth every penny and it's a refreshing way to read information. I hope, if you buy it, you enjoy it as much as I do. And NO, not getting kickbacks! I just know this person's heart is in the right place when it comes to this hobby and know that this is one individual who goes out of their way to help fellow reefers and educate. I've heard him speak and it's been fantastic.

Paul,
Don't know why the link is goofy. Just type in your browser www.readingtrees.com

I dont know about that aptasia scrubber run way idea. Id prefer to keep aptasia outta my tank. I also dont agree with his views on skimmers but then again, thats why I read different peoples books..for different views.

Right now, I have rods of PVC with holes and monofiliment line ready to try a small experiment in my tank in doing the hanging growth method...Im thinking of using montipora digitata for this...but possibly a piece of pocillipora(doubtful although mentioned as a hardy grower in this instance).

Ill let ya know how the experiment turns out and what the frags look like. I have a feeling after finishing the book....Ill have 10 new tanks in teh garage with all sorts of methods going on em.
lol
