crab problem!

I definatly have a crab problem! the a few days ago i found the exoskeleton of one (molted?) and today i found several legs of a crab definatly a crab! it is a big boy too! i saw 3 legs approx. 1" long, the color pattern was red white red white red orange black. tell ya the truth it looked really nice. i havent seen the crab(s) itself yet but i am hoping that it is a 'good' crab.

also several hitchiker starfish are missing legs could the crabs be suspect? how long till the legs grow back?
