Thumbs up Got some Live Rock

I got some Fiji Live rock from Paragonsales.com and Jeff's exotic fish today. The stuff from Jeff's was good, got a little abused by FedEx as the pieces were all pretty small and looked like they had been broken in transit. It was fairly well cured, but still had quite a bit of black die-off on them. I am happy with that rock. I got some "show" and "raw plant" rock from Paragonsales.com. The guy there at paragon sales had very good customer service. He called me twice today to make sure the rock got to me on time. Question: There is a LOT of macroalgea on the rock, I removed all the stuff that had turned black, but there is still a lot of brown stuff on there, and I mean a lot. Should I leave it be or pull most of that macroalgea off of there?
I'm extremely pleased with the rock and especially the customer service I got from Paragonsales.com. I highly recommend them. There were a few brown crabs and I've seen a couple of bristleworms in there already. Hopefully the crabs won't be too much trouble, I pulled the ones off the rock before I put it in the tank (brand new tank, nothing else in it but sand and saltwater) where I will cure the rock, but I know there has to be some still hiding in the rock as I pulled about 6 off before adding the rock to the tank.
I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Get as much of the macro algae off as you can. In all likelyhood once ammonia and nitrite fall the macro will grow back again. At this point I feel it is important to keep the ammonia spike as low as possible. It will preserve more of the beneficial critters on the rock.
