Predator caught
I started using this sinking marine pellet food to feed my corals 2 weeks ago. Tonight I was bombing some corals with it to feed them. While feedingm my frogspawn I saw something come out of the rock, a mantis shrimp. After a year of hearing clicking noises I finally saw him. He had lived in my wifes tank for a year now and we transfered rock recently and I guess he hitched a ride. I dipped the rock in water and out he came. We threw him in our 20 gallon for the time being. Hated to kill him, although I am sure he explains some fish deaths and such.

hehe....way to go!
You know mantis shrimps are considered a delicasse (sp?) They are supposed to be great eating...and supposedly can get fairly large....I Got one for free from my LFS and put him in my 20g as a species tank and it was very interesting to observe him.....they are very smart....you will have fun with him

We kind of use that tank for a quarantine tank from time to time if we lose a fish. Fortunately we rarely lose a fish. I am thinking if we keep the mantis well fed he will not attack any fish later on.
